Got Gravel?

Sep 19, 2013 by

This country home is going to be so much work!

One of the biggest projects to tackle early before the fall rain and winter snow is installing some piping so rain runoff wouldn’t erode the house foundation. Although the inspectors said it was just fine, you can never be too cautious. We hired a team with a backhoe dig to dig around the house to install some piping attaching from the gutters and emptying into lower ground.

The piping also has holes for water to seep through which is covered by river rock and ultimately more gravel.

Paving the driveway, with layers of river rock, tarp and gravel. Hoping that this lasts a few seasons! gravel
